Triune Care Model©

for Minor Care Training

Program Overview

The Triune Care Model (TCM) for Minor Care Training is an on-site, custom-designed curriculum, based on the unique setting, staffing, and program needs of that shelter program. The goal of the training is to provide direct care staff and volunteers working with minor-aged survivors of sexual exploitation, with the knowledge and skills needed to have effective and constructive interactions. Each shelter is unique, so the design of the training will be based on considerations such as:

  • What is the shelter’s history in serving at-risk minors?
  • What is the demographic and generalized psychographic profile of minors served?
  • What are the program goals?
  • Are there government or regulatory compliance needs to be met with the training?
  • What level and role of staff will be in the training?
  • To what extent is the training being used for team building and/or protocol definition?
