April is Child Abuse Awareness Month

“There is no greater sin than the abuse of power, especially when that abuse is directed at a child.”

White House Proclamation on National Child Abuse Prevention Month, 2024

April Prayer

  • Pray for the minors that are currently in abusive situations. Pray God will rescue them.
  • Pray for the minors currently in programs. Pray God heals their physical, emotional, and spiritual pain.
  • Pray for wisdom, compassion, and patience for the staff and volunteers working with these minors.
  • Pray that God provides all the resources needed for shelters to provide qualified compassionate care.

Familial sex trafficking is an unspoken yet distinct form of abuse against children. The most common perpetrator of familial trafficking in a study conducted in 2022 was—by wide margin—the child’s biological mother.
