Church Engagement
The Institute for Shelter Care is a national Christian ministry that aspires to see the Church be the leader in qualified, compassionate care for victims of exploitation.
We provide direct support to those who are already in ministry with survivors, including those in your community. We also create pathways for more of God’s people to become equipped and engaged in the work.
Jaco Booyens, founder of Jaco Booyens Ministries and the CEO of After Eden Pictures and supporter of the Institute for Shelter Care, implores churches to take action.
We invite your congregation to labor alongside us. There are many ways your congregation can support this work:
- Sign up for our newsletter and get regular updates on this work.
- Members of your congregation can Request to be on our Prayer Team.
- Take advantage of our Discount Partnership with Justice UTM to receive online training on human trafficking.
- Let us connect you with existing or emerging shelter program in your area that you can support directly.
- Use our Shelter Landscape Map to find ministries in your area or find Resources in your State.
- Respond to the call to serve the exploited. We can help you and your congregation get on a path to doing that work with our Roadmap to Shelter Planting.
